Tuna Cutlet



  1. Tuna in water - 3 cans
  2. Potatoes -2
  3. Large Yellow Onion-1,thin sliced
  4. Green chillies -5 no.s. cut in small pieces
  5. Chopped ginger -2 teaspoon
  6. Chopped garlic-2 teaspoon
  7. Indian curry leaves- 5 no.s
  8. Chilly powder- 1 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Turmeric powder-2 pinches
  10. Coriander powder-2 teaspoon
  11. Garam Masala -2 pinches
  12. Bread crumbs
  13. 2 egg whites
  14. Oil 
  15. Water 
  16. Salt for taste
  •   Peel the skin of the potatoes and boil them in water(as required)
  • In a large frying pan, pour 2 teaspoon of oil. Then saute the onions, curry leaves, green chillies,ginger and garlic together.
  • when the onion turns brown, add the chilly powder,coriander powder and the turmeric powder( lower the heat while sauteing these spices)
  • Saute until an aroma comes from it.
  • Squeeze all the water from the canned tuna and add the tuna to this mix.
  • Saute well until the tuna turns to a brown color
  • Add salt as required and 2 pinch of garam masala.
  • Turn the heat off
  • Now mash the boiled potatoes without any water in it
  • add those to the tuna, mix it well and make those into cutlet shapes
  • heat oil in another pan for frying the cutlet
  • beat the egg whites and keep it in a separate dish
  • shape the cutlets dip it in egg whites 
  • then dip it in breadcrumbs on all sides and put this in the frying pan
  • need enough oil to dip the whole cutlet in. unless it will break
  • fry each side until it turns brown
  • Have it with Tomato ketchup
